Norman and Shirley arrived last week – it’s been great seeing them again and they’re enjoying being back in NZ. The weather has even been kind to them, it’s been cold but we’ve also had some glorious sunshine – most un-winterlike. Yesterday we had clear skies, sunshine and no wind. In fact, it was such a nice day that I grabbed the camera and drove down to the inlet to take some pictures.

You can see the rest of the pics on Flickr.
We decided to make the most of the nice day and headed over to Plimmerton beach. Candi and I went for a run along the waterfront while Sophie stayed with Nanna and Grandad and had a bit of a paddle in the sea (not for long though – the water was too cold!). We came back mid-afternoon and Norman cooked us some food on the BBQ while I mowed the grass and washed the car.
It was a really nice day, and I’m glad we got so much done while the weather was good! At this time of year, you never know how long it will be until the next time you get such a nice day.
