We woke up around 07:30 again with guess who right inbetween us. Yes, this seems to be the new routine. . .
As Joe had booked today off as holiday he kindly took us to the other side of Wellington to the Chocolate Fish Cafe in the Karaka Bay area for some breakfast (I could get used to this a bit tooo easily
).

The Chocolate Fish Cafe is in Scorching Bay (pretty apt name as today was boiling) which is on the other side of Wellington to Lower Hutt (and Korokoro where we are staying with the Schaff-Edes).

It is a beautiful area which reminds me of Bluewaters Bay or Redhouse. We didn’t see any dolphins or whales but I did spot a swimmer and said ‘hey what’s that’. Ross said I need new glasses . . .
Apparently, the Chocolate Fish Cafe is where film director Peter Jackson brought cast members when filming the Lord Of The Rings trilogy in Miramar.
Well the count down begins, two more sleeps then we leave for Christchurch, then another sleep and we are off on our 29 hour flight(s) again….
We really have been very fortunate with the weather, we’ve had one day with rain and the rest has been sunny. It’s really been lovely seeing the country as we have done so far. There is still so much to explore and we have purposely not done certain trips and loads of the sight seeing because that’s what we will do for holiday if we move here.
We have taken some wonderful pictures over here. Everywhere we seem to have gone seems to be a photo opportunity. I think we will be framing some of our shots when we get home.
Anyhow, it’s Susanne’s first day back at work today so I have made sausage casserole. It’s going to be weird to be left all on our own tomorrow…
Hope everyone is well, love you all lots and can’t wait to catch up when I get back.
