So as the sun went down today, there was another lovely photo opportunity which was too good to miss.

We all took Speights for a little walk - Even Sophie came with us as she was wide awake after her afternoon nap.

Here is a pic of Joe, Susanne and Speights, with the sun going down behind them:

We went to a viewpoint and I took a photo looking out towards Petone. It’s almost the same as one I took during the day last week:

It was actually almost dark when I took this shot - the shutter speed was over 1 second and there was nothing to lean on so I had to hold the camera really still. Luckily the shot has come out not too blurry.
If you look to the right from that viewpoint, you can almost see Wellington:

Sophie started to get a bit tired, so we headed back and put her to bed. Speights could have carried on going though!

Well Ross and Candi!
We didn’t realise you’d be blogging this weekend so we didn’t look you up. Big mistake! Everything looks lovely and sounds like you’ve been very well looked after by everyone. Can’t wait to see you all again - especially the raspberry blowing ice cream monster. You have had a great time, some lovely photos and memories, and hopefully lots to think about as you come home. So now it’s back to Christchurch for a day, then fly home?
The weeks have flown by! We’ll look at your blog tomorrow and hope to hear from you again when you get back,
Lots of love
Nanna and Pops
